The Missouri River widens into Lewis and Clark Lake near the friendly community of Yankton, where this brand-new KOA is located within the city limits. The Lewis and Clark Recreation Area (4 miles west) offers plenty of opportunities for speed boating, sailing, Jet Skiing and kayaking as well as swimming and sunbathing on sandy beaches. The Campground, with RV and tent sites and Kabins and Lodges, is next door to the National Field Archery Association Headquarters & Museum and the Easton Center for Archery Excellence. At this training facility, you can hone your skills at indoor, outdoor, 3-D and Olympic archery.Shoot a round of trap or try horseback riding. All necessary equipment is available for rent. Nearby, the Karttrax Family Fun Park (open seasonally) has go-karts, bumper cars and boats, mini golf and a kiddie train. You'll find numerous restaurants to choose from in town. Yankton has some of the best pheasant, waterfowl, deer and turkey hunting in the area.
